Red Alert needed a bold, characterful illustrated badge strong enough to anchor can labels, pint glassware, apparel, and bar merchandise, combining a military-inspired pin-up figure with a shield, chain, flag, and ribbon composition.

Crafting the Solution

REDXEL built the Red Alert badge as a full illustration, constructing the military-inspired pin-up figure, shield structure, chain border, American flag, and ribbon banner in detailed line art before developing color. Color was introduced selectively, starting with the flag while the figure and badge structure remained in line work, before the full illustration was brought to final color. The finished mark was also delivered as matching positive and reverse black and white treatments for flexible use.
