The Discourse: Logo Design
An illustrated logo identity for The Discourse, built around a bold clashing-microphones mark with real media and podcast energy, delivered in full color and black and white treatments.
Framing the Challenge
A media and conversation-focused brand needed a mark with real on-air energy, bold and memorable enough to anchor a podcast or broadcast presence, while still working cleanly in both full color and monochrome.
Key Objectives
- Design a distinctive illustrated mark that captures energy and conversation
- Render the mark with enough illustrated detail to hold up at close range
- Confirm the mark works cleanly in both black and white and full color, on light and dark backgrounds
- Present the identity with real media and podcast presence
Crafting the Solution
REDXEL illustrated two clashing vintage microphones as the central image, rendered with enough detail in the grille, mouth, and base to hold up under close inspection. The mark was finished in black and white for light and dark backgrounds, then in full color for both light and dark presentation, giving the identity a bold, on-air feel suited to a media or podcast brand.
Real Results
The final identity is a bold illustrated clashing-microphones mark, delivered in black and white and full color treatments and confirmed to work cleanly on both light and dark backgrounds, presented with genuine broadcast and podcast energy.
The REDXEL Impact
The Discourse received a distinctive, illustrated logo identity with real on-air presence, built to anchor a media or podcast brand across light and dark, color and monochrome applications.
